Reporting to: IT/ Facilities Manager

Salary: $22-25 per hour

About the role:

CommCorp is looking for an Information Technology Assistant to join the team! The IT Assistant will be reporting to IT/ Facilities Manager to support IT strategies and new building move. The IT Assistant handling queue management, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient daily IT operations. May be assigned to work independently or as part of a team under the guidance and direction of the Manager.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Provide administrative support including, purchasing, and receiving, shipping, inventory maintenance, and working with vendors, data entry, prepare, and maintain documents particularly for training, company policies and procedures and operating essential machinery such as printers and copiers.
  • Provide basic desktop support and technical assistance to staff.
  • Assist with the setup and distribution of IT equipment for staff.
  • Primary liaison for staff IT/ Facilities inquires
  • Check and ensure that current Boston office facility is kept clean. Assist with setting up meeting rooms: furniture, chairs, tables, AV equipment, easels, flip charts, whiteboards, etc.
  • Perform physical tasks and check facilities: move and transfer furniture, supplies, boxes, office, and IT equipment to new building
  • Manage routine IT/ Facilities administration.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge and abilities

  • General professional business experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Dependable, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal communication skills with dedication to providing a high-level customer service
  • The ability to organize and coordinate workload independently among constant deadlines and shifting priorities
  • Some technical skills including A++

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to use hand tools to perform physically demanding tasks.

Ability to use power tools and equipment.

Minimum Working Conditions/ Qualifications:

Up to 20 hours per week; days and evenings; flexible schedule.

Must be able to come into the office on short notice.

Available during new hire orientation

Preferred Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent preferred, and no previous experience required.

IT Certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Fundamentals.
